Kozo tree fibers are used to make paper. One of the first steps is to beat the fibers until they are soft. I was mezmerized by the structure revealed within these fibers at this step, and wanted to use it to cover an armature, as a surface cover. Once dried, it shrinks and hold onto the armature, revealing the inner structure, and the fiber compositions of the tree it came from.
